Black Arabian Horses Facts:

Many Arabians appear to be black when they are in fact a dark bay. A true black Arabian horse will not carry the agouti (bay) modifier which can be tested for with a simple hair sample. Black Arabians can appear bay, mousy color, brown or black when born.
Black Arabian Horses Are BLACK!
A black arabian horse is just one of the colors that this fine breed is noted for. Other colors that arabian horses are found in are roan, chestnut, and gray as well as bay.
As do all arabian horses, black arabian horses have black skin. The only time arabian horses do not have black skin is when it is under a white coat or spots.
