When your car air conditioner needs to be charged consider buying an over the counter kit. Buying the individual containers of the new freon is cheaper most of time.

When charging your air conditioner you may get too much air pressure. Put a screwdriver into the nozzle and bleed out some of the excess air. Keep your hands and face out of the air stream.

Some people say when you want to charge an old freon air conditioner with a new kit that you should remove all freon first. In my experience I haven't found that to be necessary.
