When cleaning out the goop and seeds for carving a pumpkin gently scrape the insides in a methodical order. Scrape against the grain with a large rounded spoon for best results. This gets most of the strings out of the pumpkin out so that they do not hang down in the carved out eyes, nose, and mouth.
Pumking carving designs and patterns can be cut using power tools, traditional carving tools or small sculpting tools.
Use hemp, twine or kite string to add fun to pumking carving. Hair, beards and mustaches can be added to carved pumpkins adding originality and Halloween humor.
