Radio Stations Facts:

Free early radio stations were put to a halt on December, 1, 1921. Radio stations were no longer able to broadcast freely on the air waves. The Bureau of Navigation ordered that stations who were not of the government have a license and authorization for either Entertainment or Market Weather wavelengths.
As of 2005 New York city does not have a country radio station.
